Mail Day!

It was a banner mail week!  (Is it bad that I think one of the best perks of homeschooling is always having a ready excuse to buy and/or review more books?!)

First, we received First Form Latin by Memoria Press for Miss J to review! We received the whole kit and kaboodle - DVD's, flashcards, quizzes. The materials are beautiful. I think we'll have a lot of fun with this review.

Then the UPS man dropped of "Educating a Wholehearted Child" by Clay and Sally Clarkson. If you scroll back through any of my "what am I doing, how am I going to do it, why do I do this" posts then you will see that I always refer to the 2nd edition of "Educating a Wholehearted Child". It has been one of my favorite homeschooling books since I first started. I've bought it countless times to pass onto friends who are new to homeschooling and loaned out my copy so often it is tattered and worn.  Now I get to read and review the 3rd edition!  What a huge blessing this is!

Oh...and last week we received "Wits & Wagers Family" by Northstar Games to review. We played this the other evening and had a ball! Mr. Lego (aka..GameBoy!) can't wait to play with his cousins next week.

So...stay tuned for some great reviews coming up.

We are going to be reviewing the same items! So exciting! Wits and Wagers is fun, fun and more fun! We played it in the car on our last road trip. I need to pick up our mail tomorrow and cannot wait to read the book and start the Latin program. Yippee! Could you tell me if you are using My Father's World? Which program and are you happy with it? We are hating the curriculum I chose this year and need to change quickly!:( Lori
